Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex

WMRC is our primary uptown rec facility, with a large swimming complex, arena, indoor track and community spaces. Find programs and drop-in activities on our Rec and Leisure page.

The Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex (often referred to as WMRC or the Rec Complex) is located at 101 Father David Bauer Drive. It is open daily from 6 a.m. to midnight. Facility hours may change if programming concludes before scheduled closure times.

Customer service can be reached at 519-886-1177. If paying for rec programs, we accept cash, cheque, debit, credit and FitPass.

Parking is free for facility users. The closest Grand River Transit stops (1963 and 2002) are located 350m south of the facility, near Erb Street West and Avondale Avenue North. Check the GRT website for transit times and fees.

Funds have been approved to renovate the WMRC between 2019 and 2021. Visit our studies page to learn more about the design and construction schedule.
