RIM Park is located at 2001 University Avenue East. Open from 6 a.m. to midnight. The customer service desk opens at 8:30 a.m.

Indoor walking track

Get your steps in at RIM Park, where the hallways form a 550-metre walking loop:

  • available daily from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
  • closed for holidays, special events or maintenance
  • call 519-884-5363 to check for schedule changes

Follow these walking loop guidelines:

  • no running
  • remain in the walking loop hallways or walking area
  • keep moving at all times
  • let others know if you need to pass them
  • pass on the left
  • strollers are permitted
  • walking poles are the only equipment allowed
  • no hockey sticks, balls, pucks, mats, weights or skipping ropes

RIM Park has 4 olympic-sized ice pads with 20 large dressing rooms with showers:

  • Piller’s rink – 500 seats
  • Optimist rink – 250 seats
  • Lions rink – 250 seats
  • Carolyn Fedy Skating Centre – home to the Kitchener-Waterloo Skating Club, with an attached fitness centre

The gym area has two NBA-sized courts that can divide into four single gyms.

The indoor field house has grass-like turf. It can be used as 1 full field or divided into 3 smaller fields.

RIM Park Manulife Sportsplex has 9 meeting rooms available for community use. They can accommodate groups of 30 to 80 people.

Forbes Hall is a large event space that can host weddings, banquets and community events.

The Walter Bean Grand River Trail runs through RIM Park for 11 km.
