Report an item in a storm drain

If something valuable or an animal falls into a storm drain call 519-886-2310.

How the city can help

Do not try to lift the grate or enter the drain. Sewer covers are heavy and can be dangerous.

Only trained city staff can remove covers or enter storm drains. We use special tools to retrieve valuable items and rescue wildlife, such as ducks.

The city cannot retrieve small or low-value items such as toys or balls.
