Apply for a rebate if your business uses water that doesn’t enter the city’s sewer system.

Check if you can apply

Apply for the rebate program if your property is:

  • industrial, commercial, institutional or high-density residential
  • using water that does not enter the city’s sanitary sewer system

Water used for lawn irrigation or swimming pools is not eligible.

How to apply

To apply for a sewer rebate:

  1. Download the Sewer Rebate Application Form (PDF).
  2. Complete the form and have it certified by a licensed engineer.
  3. Email your form to utilities@waterloo.ca by April 1 to receive a rebate for the previous year’s sewer charges.
