Waterloo implements community-driven solutions related to dog ownership In an Engage Waterloo survey conducted earlier this year, over 1500 people contributed thoughts and ideas to solve challenges associated with dog owners leaving dog poop on the ground and allowing their dogs off-leash.

The municipal councils of Kitchener, Waterloo, Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich have approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as a first step in the proposed merger of Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro and Waterloo North Hydro. The approvals, which came on October 4 and 5, follow the October 1 announcement that Kitchener Power Corporation and Waterloo North Hydro Holding Corporation are proposing a merger of the utilities.

After thorough discussions and in-depth analysis, Kitchener Power Corporation and Waterloo North Hydro Holding Corporation today announced a proposed merger of their local power utilities, Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro and Waterloo North Hydro. The municipalities of Kitchener, Waterloo, Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich are the shareholders of the two holding corporations.
