City of Waterloo invests in a future-ready city for everyone with three year budgetCity of Waterloo council debated and used options to reduce the staff tabled budget in adopting the final 2024-2026 three year operating and capital budgets, including the seven year capital forecast for 2027-2033, in principle. The three year budget supports existing programs and services, as well as service delivery enhancements and additions based on the Strategic Plan, operating funding to support new capital assets and continued investment in infrastructure renewal.
City of Waterloo secures federal grant to enhance home support services for vulnerable seniorsThe City of Waterloo's Community Programming section is pleased to announce the successful receipt of a grant from the Government of Canada, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) under the "In-Home Support Pilot Project stream of the Age Well at Home initiative."
The project, titled "Improving Access to Home Support Services in Waterloo," will span the next two years.

2024 Ontario Bike Summit celebrates 15th anniversary in Waterloo where it all started The City of Waterloo is pleased to announce it will be hosting the 15th annual Ontario Bike Summit this spring from April 3-5, 2024. This year’s event provides an excellent opportunity to celebrate cycling progress in the province and in Waterloo where the first Bike Summit launched in 2009.
National service dog, Oakley, training at City of WaterlooOakley, a black lab in the National Service Dog (NSD) program is beginning the first part of her training at the City of Waterloo. Oakley is currently being cared for by Colleen, known by most as “Cook”, a volunteer puppy raiser who works at the City of Waterloo.
