City of Waterloo launches Generation Park with land saleToday the City of Waterloo is launching Generation Park Waterloo, a premiere employment development with approximately 98 acres of fully serviced industrial lands for sale.
The new employment park, previously known as the west-side employment lands, offers light industrial, industrial and commercial lands owned by the City of Waterloo.
Optional loose leaf collection for City of Waterloo residents (1)The City of Waterloo’s loose leaf collection program starts Monday, October 30, 2023 and runs for four weeks.
Waterloo’s loose leaf collection service is for the leaves from street trees (those on your boulevard) only.
City of Waterloo launches assisted snow clearing programThe assisted sidewalk and windrow snow clearing program is a free snow removal service for eligible residents unable to clear their sidewalks and windrows during the winter months.
The program supports Waterloo residents who are 65 years and older, as well as persons with physical disabilities.

The following statement was read during the Sept 18 Council meeting:
We would like to begin by acknowledging that the land on which many of us are gathered today is the land traditionally cared for by the Haudensaunee, Anishnaabe and Neutral peoples. We also acknowledge the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge and philosophies of the Indigenous people with whom we share this land today.
Community partners continue to work together to end unsafe, unsanctioned large gatherings in WaterlooLocal community partners continue to work together to end unsafe and unsanctioned street gatherings in the City of Waterloo’s university district. The City of Waterloo, Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services, Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) and other emergency services partners, together with Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo continue their collaborative efforts to ensure the safety of students and community members.
