  • Jassy Narayan is Waterloo's 2024 Senior of the Year The City of Waterloo and the Age Friendly Multi-Agency Committee are pleased to announce this year’s Senior of the Year is Jassy Narayan. Jassy was a founding member of Focus for Ethnic Women, an organization in Waterloo created to train immigrant women for the workplace.

As a launch to National AccessAbility Week, which happens from May 26 to June 1, Waterloo opened a state-of-the-art, self-cleaning, autonomous accessible washroom, known as the Uptown Loo, located at Heritage Green on the corner of King and William Streets.
