Waterloo hosts workshop for neighbours about refugee resettlement The City of Waterloo, along with Immigration Partnership and Reception House, invites residents to attend a Neighbourhood Summit workshop focused on refugee resettlement.
For the past several months, Reception House has been coordinating resettlement processes, including temporary accommodation for multiple Afghan refugee families.

Remembrance Day - Lest We Forget (1)The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 530, will conduct the Waterloo Remembrance Day service Thursday, November 11 beginning at 10:30 at the Cenotaph located on Regina Street near Waterloo City Centre, 100 Regina Street South.
Attendees are asked to please wear face masks, and physical distancing is encouraged.
Time to change your clocks and the batteries in all smoke and carbon monoxide alarms (1)Waterloo Fire Rescue recommends residents replace the old batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms when they change their clocks this weekend for the end of daylight saving time (DST).
“In order for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to work, they need to have fresh batteries,” says Fire Chief Richard Hepditch.
